Howdy all,
Excuse me for having a little bit of a moment. Maybe its the Valentines thing, single still at 31…You know the times.. You hear a song, it hits you hard, and you think far out where the hell did the years go! Did this really even happen. It’s been one hell of a battle. For whatever reason I got this illness, I’m thankful for it has turned me into a warrior. I’m a better person for it and my love for my family and friends has never been stronger. Our time is coming I can feel it. Good things come to those who wait!
Ps. The above song is by a Perth band who I was lucky enough to see with my Dad a few years back. Good sounds. I hope you like it.

There really is a lot of good people in the world. I just got a message from a mate on FB saying that another friend is trying to chase down my number.
Last weekend I ran into this mate (the one asking for my number) in the surf. Hadn’t seen him probably since my early 20′s. He suffered terribly bad through his teens and twenties with Chrohns disease. I always remember him being unwell, but I guess I was young and caught up in my own bulshit to really give it any deep thought. He ended up even getting some of his intestines removed. Anyhow, my other mate just told me, that he wants to talk to me because he has something that will help my guts. I have a lot of respect for him, the way he has just got on with life. Even more respect now that he goes out of his way to help others. Legend!
I was actually feeling a little bummed out today because I’ve been single for a while now; but reading your post brightened my day.
Thanks for being so positive! And you’re right, if nothing else this issue has turned me into a warrior too.
Our time will come Niki… keep fighting!
